About
My work is inspired by the natural world and by the depth and attention inherent in the handmade process.
Most of my pieces are hand-thrown on the potter’s wheel using stoneware clays and finished with glazes I develop in my studio, incorporating materials such as wood and plant ashes, and wild clays. I work within a natural, muted palette, favoring matte finishes and subtly varied surfaces.
I work from my home studio near Milas, Turkey, in a quiet village where I moved after living in Montreal, Canada, for a decade. My background in photography continues to shape my approach to ceramics, influencing how I think about light, composition, and detail.
The contrast between urban life and the stillness of my current surroundings has deepened my attention to nature and to the quiet nuances of form and texture.
I aim to create pieces that balance elegance and function growing in affection and connection with each use.
Thank you for visiting.
